|  | The August Möbius Contest was founded in 1997 to provide financial support to Russian undergraduate and graduate students - authors of the best works in mathematics. The aim of the contest is to help young mathematicians to carry
out scientific research in Russia.
The contest is funded and organized by the "Möbius Contest", a nonprofit foundation for support of young scientists, together with the Independent University of Moscow (IUM).
Participants of the Contest must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students of any Russian university (also, full-time graduates students of research institutions), having this status as of June 1 of the year when the contest is held.
Each participant submits an independent work in mathematics (or mathematically rigorous work in mathematical physics).
Winners of the Contest are awarded a monthly grant for 1 or 2 years provided the winner lives in Russia.
Young scientists are welcome to take part in our Contest!
